ozzy is 94 days old today and for the first time while we were conversing in his baby babble and i was making funny faces and sounds and he fell over in a fit of giggles. it's totally the most entertaining thing to see a little 3 month old fall over in a fit of giggles. every time he started laughing, i had to laugh (and of course mimi goes hyper when i think something ozzy does is cute. she's tossing back her head laughing, jumping on the furniture, hanging all over my back...oy vey!)
so i tried to get the video camera on him to catch this moment. WHAT a fiasco. mimi wants in on the action and she's screeching so loud at ozzy that he doesnt know if he wants to laugh at me or cry at her and the crying wins out and so most of the footage is of him crying and me yelling at mimi to tone it down cause youre scaring the baby. and my screaming at her is freaking ozzy out even more and he's screaming in my ear...it's like a Tarantino showdown: mimi screaming at ozzy, me screaming at mimi, ozzy screaming at me.
and of course she cant just let the camera sit and is trying to get footage of everything with the camera zoomed in so much so that all you can see is some indistinct patches of light and dark moving around on the screen (and lots of screaming. i havent looked back over that footage yet, but i suspect is will read something like Blair Witch Project). and like something from the simpsons or national lampoon, our little family unit turns from a happy go lucky moment to a mess of screaming and crying. ugh ugh ugh!
ozzy is in bed now...an hour EARLIER than usual (he went down at 6:30 pm). guess all the excitement wore him out.
btw, i decided to teach mimi to play the piano and read sheet music on my own b/c i had a hard time finding a good teacher for her. more on that to come. man, my throat hurts.
