Mimi woke up this morning, upset and climbs into bed with me, saying she had a nightmare that there was this mold that was taking over the world and killing everything and in her dream she wakes up and realizes it was a dream but when she asks me if it was real i tell her that it was. and then she wakes up for real, completely shaken.  (is this how the germ paranoia starts?  maybe this is a sign that when she asks me about scary things in real life i should stop confirming they exist and let her live in a blissful ignorance?)  so i hug her, stroke her back, calm her down and tell her it was just a bad dream, there's no mold invasion.  ozzy hears me talking to her and sits up in bed (i slept in his bed with him last night) and says, "mimi, what's wrong?" mimi answers, "i just had a scary dream." ozzy: "oh, a nightmare?" mimi: "yeah" ozzy: "this morning?" mimi: "last night" ozzy (making low sympathetic nois...

i have been awful about getting on the computer and writing.  it's been really hard to find the time.  i have to start carving out more time to update the blog as even now, i'm hard pressed to remember what we have been up to since that last post in april! the rest of april, may, and june are a blur! here's what i do remember: we bought my dad an iPad and called it an early father's day present.  he loves it.  mom says he's on it all the time.  i showed them the Facetime feature and practiced with them.  but of course every time i call them with it, they never answer so i have to do it multiple times before one of them will finally turn it on, saying, "i kept hearing a ringing sound but i couldnt figure out where that sound was coming from." aiyayay! ozzy is still crazy about cars and trains.  found a motherload of geotrax on craigslist that i picked up and set up in our garage and now i can't park my car. a couple of weeks ago, neighbor's ...
