i have been awful about getting on the computer and writing. it's been really hard to find the time. i have to start carving out more time to update the blog as even now, i'm hard pressed to remember what we have been up to since that last post in april! the rest of april, may, and june are a blur!
here's what i do remember:
we bought my dad an iPad and called it an early father's day present. he loves it. mom says he's on it all the time. i showed them the Facetime feature and practiced with them. but of course every time i call them with it, they never answer so i have to do it multiple times before one of them will finally turn it on, saying, "i kept hearing a ringing sound but i couldnt figure out where that sound was coming from." aiyayay!
ozzy is still crazy about cars and trains. found a motherload of geotrax on craigslist that i picked up and set up in our garage and now i can't park my car.
a couple of weeks ago, neighbor's house was broken into. someone kicked in the back door around noon on a week day. we saw police and fire trucks out front and were questioned. i had to try to chase down their dog that ran out when the door was busted in. (she ended up running back home on her own). scary.
kids had a week of congressional camp, and then started swim class. update on mimi's swim to come soon.
went to visit cousin jean in durham before her maternity leave was up. caleb is totally adorable! i think mimi was more excited about seeing their dog than her new baby cousin though.
came back from durham to a weather ravaged fairfax county. it was a " "super derecho" of violent thunderstorms, that left a more than 700-mile trail of destruction across the Midwest and mid-Atlantic on Friday, cutting power to millions and killing thirteen people."
