ozzy loves to 'converse' and smile at me in the mornings after his breakfast. i tried to get some footage of how he 'speaks' and smiles, but with the camera in my face, he wasnt as receptive to chatting w/me as usual...but here's a glimmer.
here is mimi talking with ozzy. even though he was thrown by the camera in my face and wasnt speaking so much to me, he seemed amiable with mimi.

more on ozzy: he is really lifting up well now, able to do one full push up. he's sleeping for longer stretches now. last night he slept from 9 until 4:30 (7.5 hours). unfortunately i didn't get that amt of sleep b/c i was up pumping in the meantime: once at 9:30-10 and again at 12-12:30. i went to bed at 1, so i got 3 hours of sleep before he was up. he decided he wanted to spend the night talking to me, so after his feed from 4:30-5 am, he sat there babbling at me for another 40 minutes and refused to let me put him down. finally he was yawning and i put him to sleep and crashed myself at 6:30 this morning. mimi had a playdate early this morning so i was up just after 8 this morning (for a whopping 1.5 hours additional sleep) to get her ready for the day and of course, shortly after she walked out the door ozzy was awake again for his morning feed.
i gave up any hope of getting any more sleep for the day. he is down for a short nap now. his day time naps have been averaging around 20 minutes, so i guess he's getting the meat of his sleep at night. i need to start going to bed earlier so i can at least get in a couple more hours of sleep, even if i have to wake up part way through to pump (seven hours is a long time to go without emptying the breasts...i get engorged, start to leak, and very uncomfortable).
**mimi comes up to me just now and says "do you know what else can puff up like your intestines?" as she pats her chest (i think she meant puff up like your lungs...intestines, lungs...whatever). a puffer fish! she declares and then nodding she walks away. funny kid.***
