ozzy jumping on the trampoline. he does little bounces...doesnt catch much air (yet).and when he's done, he turns around and comes down off of it carefully.

he's been drinking from a straw since late may (just ice water). he's eating less and less 'baby' food, preferring table food. he's drinking 8 oz of formula in a bottle, three times a day, and latches on to nurse 3 times a day, and then latches on several times first thing in the morning, mostly because he insists on waking up at FIVE O"FRICKIN' CLOCK AM, so i just keep latching him on, over and over and over again, until it's a more decent hour. usually he's had it w/breastfeeding and refuses to latch on for the 11th time around 6:45 a.m. and then i have to wake up and take him downstairs and fix him a real breakfast.
he's enjoying a variety of foods...some of what he eats, just off the top of my head:
soft cooked veggies, cubed, but must be seasoned: asparagus, carrots, beans, corn, green beans, sweet potatoes, potatoes, squash, peas, tofu
grains: cereal, pastas (including mac and cheese), rice (steamed, fried rice, pilaf, spanish), toast with cream cheese, bagels, crackers
eggs (scrambled), fish (coarsely ground), chicken (sometimes),
fruit: bananas, apple sauce, avocados, mangoes, strawberries, blueberries, cantaloupe, watermelon, pears (canned)
he likes soups, pizzas, quesadillas, and he's had some ice cream (from doting grandparents), and popsicles (he sees mimi eating them and gets mad if he cant have a lick or two).
he goes up to anyone with food and will demand to have some of what you're eating. usually it's mimi. she's begun to throw her arms around her food when ozzy comes near to try to protect it from him. i tell her to share with him and when he's older he'll be happy to share with her. sometimes it's a good thing because she'll stop pitching a fit and will instead feed him small bites of whatever she's eating with calm gentleness. other times, it's not so great. like when i was driving home from visiting my parents, i let mimi snack on some oreos in the car. when we arrived at home, rob went to get ozzy out of the car and finds his face covered in black sludge because she decided to be nice and without telling me, decided to share her oreos with him and he gummed it and smeared it all over his face, hands and shirt.
