Osten Jaesoon Im had his first sip of orange juice today. i tried to catch it on video but something went wrong and only the first FOUR SECONDS of it got captured. i was very sad because it was SUCH a fun, cute moment.
rob was sitting in the family room eating a quick meal on the ottoman while watching some t.v. he had a glass of watered down o.j. to drink. ozzy came by, made the sign for 'drink' and reached for rob's glass of juice. since he's just a month away from being one year old, i told rob to go ahead and let him try it, figuring he wouldnt care for it anyway because 1. it was watered down and 2. acidic and tart. wrong as usual! he LOVED it. after the first slurp from rob's cup, he started doing his excited, impatient sound that he makes when he wants something and just cant wait to have it. i guess the best way to describe it is that it's like a pot smokers laugh. huhuhuhuh. channel bill and ted. i digress, he's signing drink over and over so rob gives him another sip. and another. and another. and each time he's thrilled to pieces with it. it went on for so long, i grabbed the video camera to record it (fat lot of good that did. we got a new fangled video cam recently that i'm still sort of figuring out...maybe i did something wrong. pro'lly should read the manual.)
when i went back to view the recording i was so so so sad to see that it didnt even record. :( doin' a crap job of keeping up with the second child! i'm really trying my best...i dont want to have ozzy ask me one day why there's more video/photos of mimi and the dog than him!
another moment that should have been documented was ozzy's first haircut. mimi, ozzy, kaya and i went over to our neighbor's house yesterday afternoon. she has a whole salon set up in her basement. went over and got ozzy's haircut. he was pretty good for the most part. by the end of it, he was getting antsy, but mimi helped out by making funny faces at him to keep him still. i wanted to take pics of the day, but came unprepared because i didnt know she was going to cut his hair the minute we popped over to check her schedule.
i now fully understand why the second kid has less photos. it really is that much harder to capture moments when you have two to be responsible for. i'll have to start planning in advance to have some extra hands on deck so i can be available to capture these moments!
