i wasnt expecting another burst of language growth so i was surprised these past 2 days to hear ozzy say longer words like the korean word for hello (AHN-young-HA-seh-yo) with such clarity and ease and bows too!
much more 2 word phrases and some 3 word phrases. increase in new words. (i.e. turns on the lights. mom! bright wites? bright is a word i havent heard him use before.) today, he threw a toy on the floor, which i really dont like, i gave him a thunderous look, and before i could say anything he supplies it himself, saying, "OH! OZZY, mommy?" trying to reach something on the shelf he says, "Weach it! high!" trying to lug something heavy, he says, "heavy! mommy! help!"

day 4 of potty watch: ozzy peed in the potty twice, once in the morning and once at night. all other times he did in the diaper. both times he's alerted me by saying, "mommy? pee pee?" or "potty?" sometimes i'll take him over to the potty at various times during the day to see if he'll use it but whenever i initiate it he balks and pushes me away. it seems he wants to tell me when he's ready and if i pay attention and do it on his signals he'll pee on his own in the potty. since he is making an effort i am okay w/ backing off, but if he stops altogether, i go back to taking him periodically thru-out the day.
mimi is fascinated by ozzy's potty use. every time he goes, she HAS to drop everything to come and watch too. but if ozzy wants to come in to the bathroom when she goes, she says, "ozzy, you have to get out because i need privacy."

day 5 of potty watch...no potty use today. we spent so much of the day out of the house that he didnt get a 'pants off' opportunity to need to use the potty and just happily peed in his diaper all day. and when we finally did come inside i was too busy to let him go without diapers on. maybe tomorrow evening, when we're home, he'll try to use it.
it's really hard to develop much consistency when there's not much time spent inside the house with diapers off.
