On New Year's eve, we went in for our first OB appointment and got to see IM2 on the ultrasound screen. It was so exciting to see the baby for the first time. When I had first saw Mimi on the screen, she had been 6 weeks old and just a blinking bean on the screen. This time around, unable to get an appointment earlier than 13 weeks, we were thrilled to see arms and legs and a clear healthy spine on this little one. The baby was swimming around (about 3 inches long), stretching, and moving quite a bit. While it was very exciting for Rob and me, I wasnt too sure how Mimi was feeling about it all. She was rather quiet during that time (could be b/c she was busy eating a snack). But later that day, she spoke more about the baby and how she would take care of it than she ever has before. I take that as a good sign, esp since she had previously told me that she DID NOT LIKE the baby.
Mimi is ZONKED out on the couch. I was busy making dinner, and I happened to look in the family room and I saw Mimi laying there on the couch, head on a throw pillow, and cuddled up in a throw blanket, fast asleep. She must have really been tuckered out. We have still be trying to catch up on sleep from too many late nights during the holidays!
Rob found this video footage of Mimi dancing to Music For Aardvarks...i believe it was from this past summer. We were crackling over how she shakes her butt as she dances. Couldnt resist putting that up here.
